"It's a great day to be alive"

Hoy entré a facebook y lo primero que vi fue la foto de un amigo de Estados Unidos y el comentario decía 'it's a great day to be alive': es un gran día para estar vivo. Me gustó mucho lo que leí ahí. Cómo me gustan esos días, esos momentos en los que te dan ganas de detener el tiempo y quedarte en ese instante el resto de tu vida. Hoy fue un día de esos para mí también, y no fue solo una razón sino varias las que me hicieron recordar que es bueno vivir. A todos nos pasa (creo). Ya sea la visita de alguien preciado, o algún acontecimiento esperado, o la buena noticia que no estábamos seguros de que llegaría, o simplemente el placer de convivir con nuestros amigos o familiares. Qué bueno es recordar lo hermoso de la vida. Qué bueno es valorar los detalles que a veces nos faltan en nuestra vida diaria. Qué afortunados somos nosotros los que nos damos cuenta de que estamos viviendo un momento irrepetible; porque nuestra vida es irrepetible.

Me gusta recordar que somos únicos, y que somos afortunados de poder apreciar estos días a los que podemos clasificar como 'grandes días para estar vivos'. Como hoy.

Le escribí un comentario a mi amigo en su foto: ojalá encontremos alguna razón todos los días para poder decir que es un gran día para estar vivos. Que no se nos olvide que no debe haber nunca algo que nos haga pensar que no vale la pena vivir. Que siempre hay un buen motivo para seguir disfrutando de este mundo; y que grabemos profundamente los buenos momentos para que cuando vengan las malas rachas tengamos siempre una referencia de lo que en realidad nos motiva a vivir, y que no caigamos en la tentación de tirar todo por la borda.

Qué gusto me da saber que hay más gente que valora la vida; los momentos; los instantes.

Qué bueno es vivir... sobre todo el día de hoy.

Today I logged into Facebook and the first thing I saw was the picture of a friend from the United States that said: It's a great day to be alive. I loved what I read. I really love these days where you can truly say I'm happy to be alive. Those moments that make you want to stop the time and stay in that instant for the rest of your life. Today was one of those days for me too, and it was not only for one reason, but several. Happens to everyone (i think); whether it is the visit of some loved ones, or a special event long waited, or the good news that we didn't expect, or simply the pleasure of sharing nice moments with friends or family. How good it is to remember the beauty of life, and how important it is to value the details that sometimes we lack in our daily life. How fortunate we are to realize that we are living a unique moment, because it is our life that is unique.

I like to remember that we are irreplaceable and that we are blessed to be able to distinguish the days when it is great to be alive. Today.

I wrote a comment in the picture of my friend: I hope we always find a reason to say it is a great day to be alive. We should never forget that there is never a reason to think that life is not worth living. There is always a motive to keep enjoying this world; and shall we remember the good moments so that when the bad times come we will always keep that reference of what makes us move on, and not fall in the temptation of throwing everything away.

I'm glad to know that there are other people that value life; the moments; the instants.

How good it is to be alive... specially today.

Oggi mi sono collegato su Facebook e la prima cosa che vidi fu la foto di un amico degli Stati Uniti che ha detto: E 'un grande giorno di essere vivo. Mi è piaciuto quello che ho letto. Mi piacciono tantísimo questi giorni dove si può veramente dire che sei felice di essere vivo. Quei momenti che ti fanno venir voglia di fermare il tempo e rimanere in quel momento per il resto della tua vita. Oggi è stata una di quelle giornate per me, e non era solo per una ragione, ma diversi. Capita a tutti (credo), sia la visita di alcuni cari, o un evento speciale lungo atteso, o la buona notizia che non ci aspettavamo, o semplicemente il piacere di condividere momenti piacevoli con gli amici o la famiglia. Com'è bello ricordare la bellezza della vita, e quanto sia importante valorizzare i dettagli che a volte ci manca nella nostra vita quotidiana. Quanto siamo fortunati a capire che stiamo vivendo un momento unico, perché è la nostra vita che è unica.

Mi piace ricordare che siamo insostituibili e che siamo benedetti per essere in grado di distinguere i giorni in cui è bello essere vivi. Come oggi.

Ho scritto un commento nella foto del mio amico: spero di esserci sempre in grado da trovare sempre un motivo per dire ogni giorno che è un grande giorno di essere vivo. Non dobbiamo mai dimenticare che non c'è mai una ragione per pensare che la vita non sia degna di essere vissuta. C'è sempre un motivo per continuare a godere di questo mondo, e dobbiamo ricordare i momenti belli in modo che quando i tempi sono cattivi ci sarà sempre quel riferimento di ciò che ci fa andare avanti, e non cadere nella tentazione di buttare via tutto.

Sono contento di sapere che ci sono altre persone che apprezzano la vita; i momenti; gli istanti.

Com'è bello essere vivo...  specialmente oggi.
